Let's start by looking at the graphics. Vindictus runs on the Source engine, the same one that Left 4 Dead, Half Life, and Team Fortress 2 uses, which means that the performance of the game itself runs pretty smooth considering your PC has decent specs. Not much else to say on graphics except that it looks good but obviously doesn't compare to some other mmos such as Aion but still looks very good for a free mmo.
Gameplay gets a bit complicated. You first start off in the tutorial level which teaches you about the game obviously. This tutorial is much better than other tutorials because it actually follows along with the story (and gives you a cutscene to watch) which is pretty neat. After the tutorial, you are placed in the hub town Colhen. Your character gets 50 tokens which are used to enter instances. The waiting room for the instance is a boat so it's kind of like a bus fare. They refill every other day and it costs 2 tokens per ride. Providing you don't play games 24/7 you won't have to worry about running out. There are also 4 different boats (so far) each having around 5-6 instances. The problem is that I found myself running out of tokens to use during christmas break. I created a secondary character because of this.
The instances also have a difficulty setting (normal mode=monsters have higher health less attack power, Hard mode=lower health, more attack power, Hero mode (accessed only after level 50)=even more attack power than hard mode) with challenges to complete such as, clear this instance without potions, clear it without dying, etc. Quests are also given by the town's local NPCs. Most of them are pretty standard. (Kill this monster, collect this item, clear this instance) This is not much of a problem since you will find yourself completing the quests as you do the instance anyway. At the end of each instance, the game takes several screenshots in different viewpoints which you can choose to save or throw away

The game still has a few glitches like not being able to exit a store or not being able to turn in a quest or this......

Story...wait what? A mmo with a story that I can talk about? It's true. Although I have not completed the full story I can tell you that it is pretty decent. It deals with the war between humans and Fomors(monsters). In order for the humans to live in peace and arrive in a paradise promised by a goddess, they must eliminate all Fomors. Throughout the story, characters you encounter have their own personality and you get to love or hate them. Did i mention NPCs appear and disappear as the story progresses? Yep that's right, new characters arrive and go and you will either be happy that someone is gone or sad. Either way, that is an interesting approach that the game went with. It feels like a traditional console action rpg, at the same time it feels like an mmo.
Verdict? It is one of the best mmos I've played and would definitely rank in my top 10 so check it out, no loss, maybe your life but that's another story...
P.S. one thing I hate about this game is that it's hosted by Nexon, the worst host ever with it's crappy servers and the cost of Cash Items.
